Hi junior members and parents,

Now that summer has finally arrived in the Northwest, I hope everyone is able to enjoy it.

I want to thank everyone that helped to make the auction a success in Klamath Falls last month. This auction is our only fund raiser and is truly appreciated by all the Juniors.

For those members that have heifers in the High Point Heifer prograam this year, please let me know what shows you have entered and the placing(s) for the heifer at those shows so I can update my records.

The Oregon State Fair is fast approaching with entry deadlines to OSF due by August 1st. According to the 2012 OSF info:

Cattle in by Tlhursday, August 23rd

Junior show is Friday, August 24

Selection of Supreme and Reserve owned female is Friday, August 24 at 7PM

Open show is Saturday August 25

Bedding fee of $7.00 per head

Entry fees to OSF for open class is $20 per head

No fee to OSF for junior show if animal shown in open class

Entry fee of $10 to OJLB

Three entry forms are needed:

Open show to OSF

Junior show to OSF

Junior show to OJLB

Tie outs are limited

Out of state cattle must have health papers and brand inspection

Information on show, etc. is located at oregonstatefair.org

Limousin open show information is section 1116 and the Junior show is section 123.

Junior show is still incorrect.

Zach Atkins showed the only bull a Spring Bull Calf out of DSFM Undiscovered

There were 5 peewee showing and all received a blue ribbon

INTERMEDIATE

There were seven showing with Austin Speck as Champion and Ryley Lusk as Reserve Champion

SENIOR

There were three showing with Champion being Miranda VanZanten and Natalie Kane was the Reserve Champion

There were no Juniors showing this year
