OREGON JUNIOR LIMOUSIN BREEDERS 2013 HIGH POINT HEIFER AWARD PROGRAM
The third annual Oregon Limousin Breeders sponsored High Point Heifer Program for the current members of the Oregon Junior Limousin Breeders are eligible to enter.
HIGH POINT HEIFER PROGRAM RULES
The Oregon Junior Limousin Breeders High Point Heifer Program is being sponsored by the Oregon Limousin Breeders. The purpose of this program is to help promote our youth participation by being involved in youth livestock programs and shows which in turn will help with the promotion of the Limousin cattle in Oregon and elsewhere.
Any youth that is not over the age of 21 on January 1st of the current year and has paid their OJLB dues for the year is eligible to participate.
The heifer may be registered purebred Limousin or a 50% or more Lim-Flex and registered with the North American Limousin Foundation. If the heifer is purchased, it must be in the current year. The heifer may also be a bred and owned or owned by the ranch/family. The heifer must be in the junior member's name by May 1st of the current year. The seller, ranch/parent, or member may pay the entry fee of $50.00. The member must submit a copy of the heifer's registration papers or give information about the heifer on a form from the program chairperson.
For the heifer to be eligible for the OJLB High Point Heifer award, the heifer must show in at least three of the selected shows and only be able to show in a heifer class. The points will be totaled for the five shows to determine the winners. If there is a tie, the placing will be added together and the purse will be divided equally between them. All OJLB members will abide by the rules of the show they have entered or by the North American Limousin Junior Association., Show Schedule for 2013 is pending! SHOW LOCATION DATE
