OREGON STATE FAIR
Meeting was called to order on Saturday, August 25, 2012 by Sue Warmington, president, at 7:05 PM.
Minutes were read by Jan Prouty, Secretary and approved.
Treasury report:
The OLB report was given by Grace Haskins, treasury, and the OJLB report was given by Jan Prouty, junior advisor. Both were approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
Sue said that the sweatshirts and hats were still being sold for a fund raiser.
The High Point Heifer Program was explained to those that were unfamiliar with it.
There was discussion about the Redmond, OR. Sale and Jackpot show. Sue stated that Limousin breeders were welcome to bring heifers to sell next year. Sue was told that they are very strict about the quality of heifers that is sold there and also to bring buyers for the heifers.
There was no other old business.
NEW BUSINESS:
OLB and some members helped pay for the Junior show judge at Oregon State Fair. Sue talked to the Angus and Hereford breeders and it was decided that the cost of the judge would be prorated as the amount of cattle and members for other breeds of the Juniors were small in comparison.
There was no other new business.
Everyone was thanked for their donations for awards, etc. for the Oregon State Fair show.

Secretary - Glenda Stilwell
Treasurer - Grace Haskins
Position Number 3 - Joann VanZanten
The new Junior Advisor will be Grace Haskins.
